Sexy Eliza Dushku at The Screening for The Party

I never was a big fan of Buffy the Vampire slayer, but a friend of mine is and he's a diehard Eliza Dushku fan. Here she is at the screening of "The Party" at the Stella McCartney Boutique yesterday. Damn, she's one hot brunette.

Excerpts from her bio on wikipedia,
Eliza Patricia Dushku (born December 30, 1980) is an American television and film actress, who has appeared in several Hollywood movies such as True Lies, The New Guy, Bring It On, and Wrong Turn. She is also well known for her acting on television, such as her recurring appearances on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as Faith, as well as the main character in the series Tru Calling.

Dushku was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Philip R. Dushku, an Albanian-American administrator and teacher in the Boston Public Schools, and ex-wife Judith "Judy" (née Rasmussen), a university administrator and professor at Suffolk University, who is Danish American on both her grandfathers' side and English American on both her grandmothers' side. Dushku attended Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, Mass and graduated from Watertown High School (Massachusetts) as a teenager. She was raised a Mormon, the faith of her mother (though she is not actively practicing). She has three older brothers, Aaron, Benjamin (Ben) (born February 5, 1976), and Nathan (Nate) (born June 8, 1977, in Boston, Massachusetts), the last of whom is a model and also an actor. Her parents divorced when she was still an infant. In 2005 she visited her father's family in Albania after being personally invited by the president, while there she also visited the Albanian Community in Kosovo and got an Albanian Eagle tattooed on the back of her neck.

On October 1, 2005, she announced at Wizard World Boston that shooting had begun for Nobel Son in which she will star with Alan Rickman, Danny DeVito, Bill Pullman, and Peter Boyle. The movie was released at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and received exceptional reviews. Another project is On Broadway, an independent movie filmed in her native Boston. The movie is receiving great reviews and a few of them highlight Dushku's performance. It is currently being shown in many independent film festivals and has already won six awards.

Variety announced on August 2, 2006 that Dushku would co-star with Macaulay Culkin in Sex and Breakfast, a dark comedy written and directed by Miles Brandman. The movie was released in Los Angeles in November 30, 2007 and on DVD in January 22, 2008. She will also star in Open Graves, a horror-thriller about a satanic game co-starring Mike Vogel. The movie will be released in 2008. She will play the main character in The Thacker Case and The Alphabet Killer, both based on real-life events and upcoming thrillers, one of them directed by Rob Schmidt whom she had previously worked with on Wrong Turn. Both movies will be released in 2008.

She will co-star along with Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman, Chris Pine and Rachel Taylor in Bottle Shock, a drama about the Napa Industry of wine. The movie is directed by Randall Miller, who helmed Nobel Son. On August 26, 2007, Dushku signed a development deal with Fox Broadcasting and 20th Century Fox. Under the pact, the network and the studio will develop projects tailor-made for the actress. They also will approach her with existing pitches and scripts. Consequently, it was announced on October 31 that Dushku had lured Joss Whedon, famous for creating the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series, back to TV, as they agreed to create a new show called Dollhouse. FOX has already ordered seven episodes and the series is expected to premiere soon.

I have a big thing for Melina Kanakaredes. I've watched her in Providence and followed her to CSI NY. Don't care for either show, but I love watching her, she's like the hot girlfriend or wife you wish you had. Here she is with Julie Chen on the Early Show on CBS yesterday.

Kanakaredes' first TV role was on the daytime drama the Guiding Light, originating the role of Eleni Andros Spaulding Cooper from 1991 to 1995. She was nominated twice for the Daytime Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Eleni.

Her most high-profile roles on television were as the series protagonist Dr. Sydney Hansen on Providence (TV series), which ran for five TV seasons (1999–2002), and since 2004 in a leading role on the CBS-TV drama series CSI: NY as the detective Stella Bonasera.

She is a second-generation American and she is fluent in Greek.[citation needed] Her two maternal uncles own and run a candy store in Akron called "Temo's Candy Company", a chocolate store established in its current location by Kanakaredes' great-uncle Christ Temo. Melina Kanakaredes graduated from the Firestone High School in Akron. She attended the Ohio State University for a short time, and then she transferred to the Point Park College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Point Park in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater arts.

In 2005, Snowdon became an ambassador for the breast cancer care charity.

Snowdon had a short fling with Brandon Boyd (the lead singer of American alternative band Incubus) and is also well known for being the former girlfriend of George Clooney.

In the book "Inside Little Britain", David Walliams refers to a woman he fell in love with as "Miss X", who was later revealed in the media to be Lisa Snowdon.

Snowdon participated in a celebrity edition of The Apprentice in order to raise money for charity. Sport Relief Does The Apprentice is part of the BBC's annual charity initiative and aired on March 12 and March 14 2008.

Paris Hilton in a Funky Dress on the Red Carpet

Excerpts from her bio on wikipedia,
Paris Whitney Hilton (born February 17, 1981) is an American celebutante, singer, actress, model, and businesswoman.

She is best-known through the television series The Simple Life. She has appeared in several minor film roles, most notably in the horror film House of Wax in 2005. In 2004 she published a tongue-in-cheek autobiography.[1] In 2006, she released her debut album Paris. Hilton's career pursuits include singing, modeling, acting, writing, and television. As a result of several legal incidents, Hilton served a widely publicized sentence in an L.A. County jail facility in 2007.

Born in New York City, Hilton is the oldest of four children of Richard and Kathy Hilton (née Avanzino). She has a sister Nicky and brothers Barron and Conrad. She is mainly of Norwegian-German descent on her father's side and Irish-Italian on her mother's.

On the maternal side of her family, she is a niece of two child stars of the 1970s, Kim Richards and Kyle Richards. Hilton was related by marriage to Nicole Richie's godmother, Nancy Davis, when Nancy's brother, Greg, was married to Kim Richards.

Hilton's paternal grandparents are hotel chairman Barron Hilton, and his wife, the former Marilyn Hawley; Barron Hilton's parents were Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton and his first wife, Mary Barron.

Hilton moved between several exclusive homes in her youth, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and the Hamptons. She attended Marywood-Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage, California her freshman year of high school; Dwight School in New York for her sophomore and junior years; then a few months at Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut before dropping out. Hilton eventually earned a GED.

In December 2007, Hilton's grandfather Barron Hilton pledged 97 percent of his estate to a charitable organisation founded by his father, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. An immediate pledge of $1.2 billion was made, with a further $1.1 billion due after his death. He cited his father's actions as the motivation for his pledge. According to reports, the potential inheritance of his grandchildren is sharply diminished.

Hilton was engaged to fashion model Jason Shaw from mid-2002 to early 2003, and Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, from May 29, 2005 to November 2005. Thereafter, she began dating another Greek shipping heir, Stavros Niarchos III, before breaking up in May 2006. She is currently dating the guitarist of the band Good Charlotte, Benji Madden.

Hilton told Live with Regis and Kelly: "One-night stands are not for me. I think it's gross when you just give it up. Guys want you more, if you don't just hand it to them on a platter."

In January 2007, Hilton's private life created headlines with the launch of ParisExposed.com, a website that featured images of personal and medical documents, video, and other private material, allegedly obtained when the contents of a storage locker rented by Hilton were auctioned off due to lack of payment. CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 discussed footage obtained from the website which features Hilton using several homophobic and ethnic slurs. On February 3, 2007 Hilton obtained a temporary injunction against ParisExposed.com, closing down the website for a short period of time before it went back online.

Hilton loves small dogs, and owns a Yorkshire Terrier and a female Chihuahua named Tinkerbell. Hilton is frequently seen carrying Tinkerbell (dubbed an "accessory dog") at social events and functions, and in all five seasons of television reality show The Simple Life. In 2004, Tinkerbell "authored" a memoir, The Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries. On August 12, 2004, Tinkerbell went missing after Hilton's apartment was burglarized, and a $5,000 reward was offered for her safe return. She was found six days later. By December 1, 2004, Tinkerbell was again spotted with Paris Hilton at various events. Hilton has also purchased a male Chihuahua on July 25, 2007 from Pets of Bel Air in Los Angeles.

A four-year-old homemade sex video of Hilton and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon was leaked on the Internet in 2003, later released as the DVD 1 Night in Paris despite attempted legal action. It appeared a week prior to the premiere of The Simple Life.

Paris Hilton has been quoted as saying that she is the "iconic blonde of the decade"' and compared herself to Princess Diana and Marilyn Monroe (a claim she denied in the May 2007 issue of Harper's Bazaar). She will reportedly appear in the 2007 Guinness World Records as the world's "Most Overrated Celebrity". In a poll conducted by the Associated Press and AOL, Hilton was voted the second "Worst Celebrity Role Model of 2006", behind Britney Spears. Critics suggest that Hilton epitomizes the title of famous for being famous; echoing that sentiment, the Associated Press conducted what they called an experiment in February 2007, trying not to report on Hilton for a whole week.

Hilton recently posed nude, covered in gold paint, to promote "Rich Prosecco", a canned version of an Italian sparkling wine.

Nicholai "Nicky" Olivia Hilton (born October 5, 1983 in New York City, New York) is an American fashion model, socialite, and fashion designer. She shares her nickname with her grandfather's brother, Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, who died 14 years before she was born.

Nicky is the second of four children born to Richard Hilton and Kathy Richards. Her sister is Paris Hilton, and her brothers are Barron Nicholas Hilton and Conrad Hughes Hilton. On the maternal side of her family, Nicky is a niece of two popular child stars of the 1970s, Kim Richards and Kyle Richards, who appeared in the motion picture Escape to Witch Mountain and TV shows like Nanny and the Professor, Little House on the Prairie, and later, ER. Her paternal grandparents are Barron Hilton and Marilyn Hawley.

Hilton moved between several homes in her youth, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and The Hamptons on Long Island, New York. She graduated high school from the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York and attended college at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design, but did not finish her fashion degree.

She launched her own clothing line, Chick by Nicky Hilton in 2004 and has also designed a line of handbags for Japanese company Samantha Thavasa from 2002–2005.

In 2007, she started her second line aimed at a more mature audience and higher pricepoint, called Nicholai, which had its debut fashion show for the spring/summer 2008 season on September 9, 2007 in New York City during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The video and photos from the collection can be viewed at the MBFW website.[1]

Hilton began her career as a fashion model. She has done several runway shows for major designers and is a regular model for Heatherette, along with her sister Paris; they usually open and close the runway shows.

In 2005, Hilton, along with Kimberly Stewart, was the face of Australian underwear line Antz Pantz. Stewart remains contracted, however Hilton has since been replaced by Australian up-and-coming model Megan Maitland. Around this time, Hilton modeled for the cover of Lucire magazine for its New Zealand and Romanian editions.

She has also modeled for Frederick's of Hollywood.

Hilton made her acting debut in National Lampoon's Pledge This!, which also featured her sister. The movie was a straight-to-DVD and released on December 19, 2006. She also made a cameo in Pauly Shore Is Dead, with Paris.

In 2003, Nicky and Paris were each offered a role in a reality show called The Simple Life, but Nicky rejected the part. However, Paris went through with it, and her best friend Nicole Richie was given the role that Nicky refused.

Nicky, along with Paris, will soon star in a cartoon about their lives.

In 2006, she entered a partnership for the Nicky O Hotel. The first, the Nicky O South Beach, is a 94 unit suite condo hotel in Miami which opened in 2007. It features suites by famous designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Nicole Miller, Heatherette, and Betsey Johnson. The second Nicky O Hotel was due to open in Chicago in the spring of 2007. On February 12, 2007, Hilton was sued for breach of contract by her partners in the Chicago project.

Hilton has dated MTV VJ Brian McFayden, Ian Somerhalder in 2003. Later, she married Todd Andrew Meister on August 15, 2004. But the marriage was later annulled in November 2004. She was with Kevin Connolly from January 2005 to October 2006.

Excerpts from her bio on wikipedia,
Lindsay Dee Lohan (born July 2, 1986) is an American actress and pop music singer. Lohan started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age 10, she began her acting career in a soap opera; at 11, she made her motion picture debut by playing identical twins in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap.

Lohan rose to stardom with her leading roles in the films Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded. Her subsequent roles include appearances in A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby. In 2004, Lohan launched a second career in pop music yielding the albums Speak (2004) and A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005).

Lohan was born on East 236th Street in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx and grew up in Merrick and Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island. She is the eldest child of Donata "Dina" (née Sullivan), a former Rockette, and Michael Douglas Lohan, Sr., a onetime actor. Lohan has three younger siblings, all of whom are actor-models: brother Michael Jr., whom she affectionately calls "Punk," appeared with her in The Parent Trap as the "Lost Boy at Camp"; sister Aliana had a small role in Freaky Friday, as did brother Dakota, the youngest Lohan child, whom she once saved from drowning. Most recently she starred alongside Jane Fonda in "Georgia Rule".

Lohan has been a frequent attendee at various nightclubs and social events - at times being photographed with nightlife notables such as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Responding to the media's portrayal of Lohan as a "party girl", she commented, "People say, 'Oh, she goes out and she parties'. No, we are just going out and having fun."

Lohan's car accidents in 2004-2006 were widely reported. The first, August 2004 in Studio City, California, was a minor rear-ender, though the victims threatened to sue her in 2005. Another, October 2005 in West Hollywood, occurred when Lohan struck a van. Police determined that the van's driver made an illegal U-turn. November 2006 in Los Angeles, Lohan suffered minor injuries when a paparazzo who was following her for a photograph hit her car. Police called the crash intentional, but prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to file criminal charges.[65][66] When VH1 named Lohan "Big 'It' Girl" for its 'Big' in '05 Awards in December, it was, Lohan quipped, "because being Big in '05 means getting in three car crashes in one year, people!".

Lohan was hospitalized twice in January 2006. In the first incident, she cut herself on a broken teacup while in London; in the second incident, she suffered an asthma attack while in Miami, Florida.

In an interview published in the March 2006 issue of Allure, Lohan said she hoped to be taken seriously as an actress, adding, "I hate it when people call me a teen queen." She addressed the numerous romantic rumors ("I know now that I don't need a boyfriend.") and her weight loss ("I will say that I went through a phase. I lost weight when I was in the hospital, and then I wanted to keep it off."). Lohan said 2005 "felt like five lifetimes because I've grown up a lot".[69]At around the same time, she is reported as having looked into the teachings of Kabbalah Centre, saying, "All of us need something. You have to grab on to whatever gets you through."

On July 25, 2006, the filming of Georgia Rule was delayed while Lohan was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment of overheating and dehydration,[71] her third hospital visit in 2006. In a letter to Lohan and others associated with the production that was later made public, James G. Robinson, CEO of the film's production company, Morgan Creek Productions, wrote:

"You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was 'heat exhaustion'. We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion'."

Lohan's fourth 2006 hospital visit occurred in September when she was treated at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City after breaking her wrist.

On January 18, 2007, Lohan checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility in West Hollywood's Laurel Canyon area. Through her representative, she issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health." In a later interview, Lohan said, "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab." But she added that, even after regularly attending meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous, "I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict."

Lohan was ranked #3 on the Forbes list of Young Hollywood Top-Earners with $6 million.

Lohan is of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic. Her maternal family were "well known Irish Catholic stalwarts" in Merrick, with her great-grandfather, John L Sullivan, being a co-founder of the Pro-life Party in Long Island. In 2005, Lohan explained to a TEENick audience that she had decided to use Morgan as her middle name because it sounded more professional.

Lohan attended public schools on Long Island, including Sanford H. Calhoun High School. She finished her studies at home[4] through Laurel Springs School[5] of Ojai, California.

Her family was financially comfortable. Her mother was a Wall Street analyst before becoming Lohan's manager.[citation needed] Dina also claimed that she worked as a Rockette, though Radio City Music Hall records have not verified this claim.

Michael Lohan inherited his family's pasta business, which he later sold to trade in futures (briefly becoming President of New York Futures Traders). Sentenced to four years in prison in the late 1980s, he spent much of his daughter's preteen years in prison for securities fraud. More recently, he worked as an investment banker, securing funding for independent films.[9] In 2005, he was sent back to prison for nearly two years, released in March 2007, for "aggravated unlicensed driving" and attempted assault. Michael currently works with Teen Challenge.

In December 2005, Michael and Dina Lohan signed a separation agreement.[13] In August 2007, Lohan's parents announced that their divorce proceedings had been finalized.

Angie Harmon's Sexy Long Legs on Kimmel

She's the law and order chick, Angie Harmon and she loves late night television, she was married on Jay Leno's show back in the day. Anyways, here is Angie showing so much leg on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Wow...

Now that's what I call legs,

Photobucket

Excerpts from her bio on wikipedia,
Angela Michelle Harmon Sehorn (born August 10, 1972) is an American fashion model and television/film actress. She became a well-known model in the 1990s and developed a career as a television star after roles on Baywatch Nights and Law & Order. She currently stars on ABC's Friday night drama Women's Murder Club. She is left-handed.

Harmon was born in Highland Park, Texas, to Lawrence Paul Harmon (who worked in a Dallas hospital information network) and Daphne Demar Caravageli, both of whom were well-known models in the 1970s.[citation needed] Her mother is of Greek descent and her father is of German and Native American ancestry. Her parents divorced in 1982 and her father later re-married.

Harmon worked as a child model and in 1988, won a Seventeen magazine modeling contest. She attended Highland Park High School until 1990 and won a Spectrum Model Search contest shortly afterward, subsequently pursuing a successful modeling career and becoming well known in the early 1990s. She worked as a runway model for designers Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, and Donna Karan and appeared on the covers of ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire. Trivia: Harmon derives from the Greek "Harmony."

Harmon began acting in 1995, starring in several television series, including Baywatch Nights, Baywatch and C-16: FBI; she also appeared in the 1998 film, Lawn Dogs, which received only a limited theatrical release. In the early 2000s, Harmon became better known as playing Abbie Carmichael on the series Law & Order, a role she played from 1998 to 2001. During this time, she also voiced Commissioner Barbara Gordon in the animated film, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, replacing Stockard Channing, as well as appearing on Law & Order.

Harmon left Law & Order to concentrate on her film career, saying that she preferred working in film than television. After appearing in the 2001 direct-to-video film, Good Advice, she had a major role in Agent Cody Banks, playing the CIA handler of a teenage agent (Frankie Muniz). The film opened in March 2003 and became a minor hit, grossing $47 million. Although Harmon was originally scheduled to appear in the sequel, the producers chose to take a more comedic approach, and replaced Harmon with comic actor Anthony Anderson as Banks's handler. In 2006, Harmon co-starred with Cuba Gooding Jr. and James Woods in the direct-to-DVD political suspense drama End Game.

In 2006, Harmon starred as the lead in the ABC pilot Secrets of a Small Town. Despite testing highly with focus groups, the pilot was not picked up by ABC due to its high budget. She also starred in another failed television show on NBC, Inconceivable. The program was quickly canceled after 2 episodes due to low ratings.

Excerpts from her bio on wikipedia,
Gwyneth Kate Paltrow (born September 27, 1972) is an Academy Award-, Golden Globe- and two-time Screen Actors Guild Award-winning American actress.

Paltrow was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Blythe Danner, an actress, and the late Bruce Paltrow, a film and television director, writer, and producer. Paltrow's father was of Ashkenazi Russian Jewish descent and her mother was raised a Quaker; Paltrow proudly acknowledges her Jewish roots and follows Judaism. Raised in Santa Monica, she attended Crossroads School before moving and attending Spence School, a private girls' school in New York City. Later she briefly studied art history at the University of California, Santa Barbara, before discontinuing her degree and committing herself to acting. Paltrow has a younger brother, Jake Paltrow, and is a cousin of actress Katherine Moennig. She is an "adopted daughter" of Talavera de la Reina (Spain), where she lived as an exchange student and learned Spanish. Paltrow was childhood friends with Saturday Night Live's Maya Rudolph and attended Brown Ledge Summer Camp, an all-girl's camp in Vermont.

Paltrow is a descendent of a famous 17th century Polish rabbi, David HaLevi Segal of Krakow, through the Russian rabbinical family, Paltrowitch, which produced thirty-three rabbis over several generations. The actress has said she is very proud of being Jewish, and has attributed her father's warmth to his Jewish heritage:

“My father had that incredible Jewish warmth, really bolstering us [his children] all the time. And when you're nine years old and you're hearing that you are the best person, it gets in there, and you think, 'OK, I'm not going to be afraid to try things, because I'm always loved no matter what.' That kills me, when I think about it. It totally breaks my heart, how lucky I am.”

Paltrow had a much-publicized romance and engagement to Brad Pitt. She once stated that she regretted breaking up with Pitt, saying in an interview with Diane Sawyer that she wished Pitt well and could not believe he was with her when she was "such a mess". They were together for over three years. She has been linked romantically with Ben Affleck and Luke Wilson. She also has been romantically linked with other actors and famous people viz: Chris Heinz (2000/01), and Robert Sean Leonard (2001).

On turning thirty, she says "I had the most incredible birthday weekend until my dad died on me like four days later," said Paltrow, who turned 30 on September 27, 2002. "It's been, in many ways, the worst year of my life and will continue to be." On December 5, 2003, she married Chris Martin of the British rock group Coldplay in a secret wedding ceremony in Southern California. Paltrow gave birth to their first child, Apple Blythe Alison Martin, five months later, on May 14, 2004, in London. She explained the unusual first name on Oprah, saying:

“It sounded so sweet and it conjured such a lovely picture for me – you know, apples are so sweet and they're wholesome and it's biblical – and I just thought it sounded so lovely and … clean! And I just thought, "Perfect!”

Apple's godfather is Simon Pegg. She currently divides her residence between England and New York.

In January 2006, Paltrow announced that, "Since my daughter came along, I've not worked much through choice. And with another baby on its way, I don't think I will be doing a lot for the next year or so either." Her second child, Moses Bruce Anthony Martin, was born on April 8, 2006 in New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital. Her son's first name was explained as the song that her husband wrote for her shortly before their secret wedding, called "Moses".

In May 2005, she publicly announced that she suffered from depression after the death of her father Bruce Paltrow. She practices yoga, and follows a macrobiotic diet, although she told People in 2005 that, "I'm not as stringent as I was in the past. Now I'll have cheese once in a while or white flour, but I still believe in whole grains and no sugar." She admits a fondness for wine, however.

Paltrow earned the enmity of Sharon Stone due to her performance as Stone in a Saturday Night Live skit that poked fun at Stone and her then-husband, Phil Bronstein. Paltrow is good friends with Madonna and fashion designers Valentino and Stella McCartney. Steven Spielberg is a close family friend. She was best friends with Winona Ryder until her breakup with Ben Affleck.

On September 27, 2006 (her 34th birthday) Gwyneth sang a duet with rap legend Jay-Z during his history-making concert at Royal Albert Hall. She sang the chorus for Song Cry, from the rapper's classic Blueprint album. In an interview prior to her appearance she indicated she would be attending the concert, but did not mention she would perform. She was also quoted as saying "I'm a Jay-Z fan. He's my best friend." Her husband, Chris Martin, later performed the song Beach Chair with Jay-Z from the rapper's album Kingdom Come.

In December of 2006, Paltrow was reported on the Internet to have told Notícias Sábado, the weekend magazine supplement of Portuguese newspaper Diário de Notícias, that she thought British people were more civilized and intelligent than Americans. Paltrow denied making the statements attributed to her and told People magazine that she never gave an interview to a Portuguese publication, but did a press conference in Spain where she tried to say in Spanish that Europe was an "older culture" and Americans "live to work". Diário de Notícias later clarified in their December 6, 2006 edition that they had not obtained the quotes from an original interview or foreign press conference, but rather from previous English-language articles which are still referenced online.

In the May issue of Vogue, Paltrow revealed that she suffered from post-partum depression after giving birth to her second child Moses. She stated that she felt "out of her body", "disconnected, "down" and "pessimistic”.

Excerpts from her bio on wikipedia,
Alicia Keys (born Alicia J. Augello-Cook on January 25, 1981) is an American R&B, soul, and neo soul singer-songwriter, pianist, and actress who has sold over 25 million albums worldwide as of 2007, and has won numerous awards, including eleven Grammy Awards, eleven Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and fourteen NAACP Image Awards.

Keys was born in the Manhattan neighborhood of Harlem, in New York City, New York, to Teresa "Terri" Augello, a paralegal and part-time actress, and Craig Cook, a flight attendant. Keys' mother is of Irish, Scottish, and Italian descent and her father is Jamaican. Keys describes herself as comfortable with her biracial heritage : "I grew up in New York, and thank God, I never had to go through that in regards to, 'You're not black enough, you're not white enough,' the whole kind of white/black-mixture thing. I never had to go through that. I went through prejudices and all, surely. But I never had to battle with those two parts of me."

Keys' parents separated during her early childhood, and she was subsequently raised by her mother during her formative years in Hell's Kitchen, also in Manhattan. In 1985, Keys and a group of other girls played the parts of Rudy Huxtable's sleepover guests in an episode of The Cosby Show called "Slumber Party". She began playing the piano when she was seven, learning classical music by composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, and her favorite, Chopin. Keys almost chose Wilde as her stage name at age sixteen until her manager suggested the name Keys after a dream he had. Keys felt that name represented her both as a performer and person.

Keys graduated from the Professional Performing Arts School, a prestigious high school in Manhattan, as valedictorian at the age of sixteen in only three years. Although accepted to Columbia University, she decided to drop out and pursue her musical career. Keys signed a demo deal with Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def label, then distributed by Columbia Records. She co-wrote and recorded a song entitled "Dah Dee Dah (Sexy Thing)", which appeared on the soundtrack to the 1997 blockbuster, Men in Black. The song was Keys' first professional recording; however, it was never released as a single and her record contract with Columbia Records ended quickly. Keys later met Clive Davis, who signed her to Arista Records, which has since disbanded. Following Davis to his newly-formed J Records label, she recorded the songs "Rock wit U" and "Rear View Mirror", featured on the soundtracks to the films Shaft (2000) and Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001) respectively. Keys then released her debut album, Songs in A Minor.

Besides being a musician, Keys is also a philanthropist. She is a spokeswoman for Keep a Child Alive, a non-profit organization that provides life-saving AIDS medicines directly to children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa. Keys and U2 lead singer Bono recorded a cover version of Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush's "Don't Give Up", in recognition of World AIDS Day 2006. Keys and Bono's version of the song was retitled "Don't Give Up (Africa)" to show the two musicians' support for helping to raise awareness of people living with HIV and AIDS and acknowledging the twenty-five million Africans (forty million people worldwide) living with the disease.

Keys has visited African countries such as Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa to promote care for children affected by AIDS. Keys, the global ambassador and co-founder of Keep a Child Alive, jet in on a four-day working visit in Masaka, Uganda on April 10, 2006 to bolster the HIV/AIDS crusade and give a ray of hope to families and children devastated by the scourge.[38] Keys visited sites funded by the organization "and brought footage home to the American public to encourage them to do more to help", according to a KACA statement. Throughout her visit, a film crew followed and documented the progress at both of these facilities for American news outlets.

Keys is also a spokewoman for Frum tha Ground Up, a charity devoted to inspiring, encouraging, and motivating American youths to achieve success on all levels. Keys also participated in other humanitarian efforts in 2005 by performing at several exclusive concerts and television shows. On July 2, Keys performed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as part of the worldwide Live 8 concerts. The mission of the concerts was to raise awareness of the on-going poverty in Africa and to pressure the G8 leaders to take action by doubling aid, canceling debt, and delivering trade justice for Africa. In August 2005, Keys performed on ReAct Now: Music & Relief, a benefit program shown on music video channels to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. The following month, Keys performed at Shelter from the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast, another Hurricane Katrina benefit concert.

Keys is an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

On July 7, 2007, Keys and Keith Urban performed The Rolling Stones' 1969 hit "Gimme Shelter" at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the American leg of the Live Earth concerts.

Keys participated at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert which took place at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway, on December 11, 2007, together with a variety of artists. The concert was broadcast to over one hundred countries.

The press reported in 2005 that Keys was attempting to reconcile with her father. However, Keys denied this and said her words were misinterpreted.

After a series of commercially successful releases with the group and a worldwide number-one success with rapper Nelly and "Dilemma," Rowland released her debut solo album Simply Deep in 2002. The album became a commercial success, eventually selling more than 2.0 million copies woldwide, and garnered three more or less successful singles, among "Stole" Rowland's often-delayed second album, Ms. Kelly was released during the third quarter of 2007. So far, the album has spawned the top 5 single "Like This," as well as the Snoop Dogg-collaboration "Ghetto" and international number-one single "Work." Rowland was born Kelendria Trene Rowland in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Doris Rowland Garrison and Christopher Lovett, who were married after Kelly was born. When she was seven, her mother took her and left her father, who was an abusive alcoholic.

She relocated to Houston, Texas, and met Beyoncé Knowles. The two became best friends and became half of the original Destiny's Child. The other members were LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. It took six years for the group to get their first record deal. They were dropped from the label only to be picked up by Columbia Records. They became highly successful and two members left the group leaving Knowles and Rowland as a duo until they could find new talent. In early 2000, Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams joined the group but five months later Franklin departed the group.

As a trio, Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle released their first number one album with two more number one singles. Kelly, who sang second lead vocals since the beginning of Destiny's Child had a lot of solo singing on this album alongside Beyoncé. On their final studio album Destiny Fulfilled each member had equal parts in the lead vocals. They released their #1's album, which has sold over 3 million copies worldwide, before going solo. They have sold over 100 million records as Destiny's Child and were named The World's Best-Selling Female Group Ever. They were also the Best-Selling R&B Group of 2005, and the Best-Selling Pop Group of 2005.

Rowland, along with other recording artists such as P!nk, Avril Lavigne, Eve, Bow Wow, John Mayer, ex-Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, joined actresses Brittany Murphy, Charlize Theron, Rosario Dawson and Eva Mendes in ads for "empowerment tag" for the ALDO Fights AIDS campaign. The tags, worn as necklaces or bracelets, go on sale at ALDO stores March 1st and benefit the YouthAIDS initiative.

Songwriting legend David Foster's daughter Amy Foster-Gillies wrote Destiny's Child's latest single "Stand Up for Love" for World Children's Day, an event which takes place annually around the world on November 20 to raise awareness and funds for children's causes worldwide. Destiny's Child lent their voices and support as global ambassadors for the 2005 World Children's Day program.

In 2007, Rowland, along with stars such as Jessica Simpson and the cast of the hit show Grey's Anatomy autographed pink Goody Ouchless brushes. The brushes were made available for auction on Ebay with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Awareness.

In 2007, Kelly along with stars such as Kanye West, Nelly Furtado and Snoop Dogg teamed up with MTV, BET, and Nike to raise awareness about AIDS. Kelly was featured on a BET program, an MTV website, and designed a Nike sneaker for auction on Ebay with all proceeds going to AIDS Awareness.

Rowland, Beyoncé Knowles, along with Mathew Knowles, Tina Knowles and Solange Knowles-Smith announced the formation of the Survivor Foundation, a charitable entity set up for the purpose of providing transitional housing for Hurricane Katrina victims and storm evacuees in the Houston, Texas area.
